Thalassemia Major

Kesaksian No 31

Name : Wakiyuddin bin Shafie
Age : 16
Gender : Male
Health problem : Thalassemia Major
Wakiyuddin is a 16-year old boy who does not look his age because he is small in size, short and dark-skinned. He has been suffering from Thalassemia major, a genetic blood disorder where the body is not able to produce enough hemoglobin in the red blood cells, thus starving the organs of oxygen and rendering it unfit to proper functions. He was diagnosed with Thalassemia major at a tender age of 1. He was susceptible to fever, lethargy, headache, muscle soreness, poor appetite, breathing difficulties and was unable to pay attention in class. As a young boy, he was always the odd one out at school because he was refrained from participating in any sports activities. He has to get 2 pints of blood transfusion every month, where each session would last for 4 to 6 hours. After the blood transfusions, he would feel better for just a few days (less than a week) but would relapse to his same state after that. Sometimes, he would have to be warded because of severe fever and thus needed blood transfusion. That means he would need blood transfusions at least twice a month!
In April 2004, Wakiyuddin was introduced to Cellfood by Haji Osman Abdullah. Since then, he has been consuming Cellfood twice daily at 6 drops each time. Miraculously, after barely a month, he felt light, lively and more alert. Other than that, after six months on Cellfood, his grades at school have showed a tremendous improvement. Even his teachers have noticed his increasing attention span and alertness in class. Now, he can even participate in jungle trekking! The most prominent effect is that his blood transfusion sessions has now been reduced from 2 pints monthly (sometimes twice a month) to 2 pints every 2 months! Today, the effects from the disease have since stopped haunting him and it is hoped that Cellfood will keep on improving the quality of his life.
